Nora's latest

Nora started school again on the 19th. Then we were going to go on vacation the next day for a week in San Diego. Here's how Nora's first day of school started off.... Thursday evening we were busy trying to pack for vacation. Nora was keeping herself busy by pushing her baby around the house in Nora's stroller. (Nora can not see where she is going.) She's pushing the baby around the main floor a few times and then she hits something. Like any almost 2 yr old she backs the stroller up a bit and then rams the something again. On the third attempt, we heard what we thought was just the stroller going down the basement steps. We then found Nora at the bottom screaming with the stroller. Her left eye immediately swelled shut. She calmed down after about 15 minutes. We thought we should get the black eye (and her implants) checked out before leaving on vacation so we headed off to the ER. Long story short, it wasn't just a black eye! Nora fractured the roof of her orbital socket (her eyebrow) and had a concussion. She stayed in the hospital from that Thursday night until Saturday morning.
As you may tell she was in good spirits before we left the hospital and was up to her usual games.
But OUCH, that looks like it hurts!!!!!

Vacation apparently was not to be in San Diego. By Tuesday, her eye was opening and the swelling had gone down quite a bit. We decided to head up to the Chicago area to see the Grandmas and Papas.

Although Sea World was not to be, we went to Shedd Aquarium instead. Loved the new show! Nora especially liked the dolphins splashing and laughing at the penguins.
Row, Row, Row your Boat

Down Periscope!
In a Yellow Submarine!
Nora continues to entertain....

And a big Ice Cream Sundae makes everything better!

HOLY COW!!! Who would have thought that it would turn out to be a fracture and a concussion. Good thing you erred on the side of caution. I don't know if I would have - which kind of scares me.
